D’une bulle de verre placée à hauteur du visage coule un filet de sable sur un écran placé au niveau du Ki. Sur cette écran une image du crâne du visiteur captée en direct, le sable lui procure un massage virtuel et le recouvre complètement. Puis, l’écran est déséquilibré par le poids de la matière et bascule pour laisser le sable se répandre sur le sol. L’expérience d’impermanence peut alors être vécue à nouveau.

 

« Le Sablier » prend l’allure d’une sculpture vidéo anthropomorphique pour évoquer l’expérience de la dissolution de l’Ego : le moi se vide sans cesse. Et si l’image de soi le retient un instant, elle finit par lâcher prise sous le poids de l’accumulation, laissant sur le sol les traces de ce qui fut.

 

ENGLISH:  Out of a bubble of glass placed in front of the visitor's face runs a sand flow witch fals on a screen placed at the Ki level. On this screen, an image of the head of the visitor collected live on witch the sand gives a virtual massage. When it has covered it completely, the screen is unbalanced by the weight of the send and rocks to let sand spread itself on the ground. The experiment of impermanance can then be lived again.

“The Sand glass” takes the form of an anthropomorphic video sculpture to evoke the experiment of the dissolution of the Ego: the ego empties itself unceasingly, and if the image of oneself catches it a moment, it inevitably falls, leaving on the ground the traces of what was.
